Braintree Recycling: Special Collection & E-Waste
E*Waste is a growing issue, and residents should be aware of the impact electronic products have on our environment. For example, Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs) contain lead, are found in TVs and monitors, and are prohibited from normal trash collection.
The Town sponsors 2 events each year. TVs, computers/monitors, electronics, dehumidifiers, ACs, etc. are being collected by The Friends of the Library at the Household Hazardous Waste events at the Recycling Center on Ivory Street on April 27 & September 28, 2013 from 9:00 AM – Noon (nominal charges).
Cell Phones - Cell phones can be donated to support our soldiers at one of the following locations:
Cell Phone Collection Points:
- Recycling Center/257 Ivory Street
- Council on Aging/Cleveland Ave.
- Water & Sewer Building/90 Pond Street
