Historical Preservation Invitation for Bid (IFB)

The Town of Braintree, having been incorporated in 1640, has numerous documents of significant historic value which are considered priceless and irreplaceable. Chief among these documents are hard-bound and loose ancient records whose conditions reflect their age. Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30B, the Town seeks a qualified vendor to provide conservation,
microfilming and scanning services relative to these historic documents. The conservation aspect allows for preservation of the original documents, the microfilming provides a secure method of retaining the information contained on the original documents should any destruction or loss of the original documents occur and the digital scanning of the original documents allows for the greatest means of distributing and providing access to the contents to the broadest audience possible.

The contract to be awarded will be in the amount of $99,000.00 (ninety-nine thousand dollars and no cents). The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible firm offering to provide the greatest amount of services for the contract amount.
