On Saturday, December 2nd the Braintree Police Officers Association and Brewster Ambulance Service will be holding their annual Fill A Cruiser Toy Drive from 10am-1pm at Town Hall. 

On Saturday December 2nd Braintree’s annual Christmas tree lighting will take place at the Town Hall Memorial Veterans Hall in front of Town Hall beginning at 4pm. Hot chocolate will be available in advance of the arrival of Santa Claus at 4:45pm to light the tree. In the event of inclement weather, the tree lighting will be moved to Sunday, December 3rd at 4pm.

On Sunday, December 3rd the Gardeners’ Guild of Braintree will be hosting their annual Holiday Boutique at Braintree Town Hall from 10am-3pm. 

On Thursday December 7th the Marge Crispin Center will be hosting The Annual Braintree Christmas Party benefiting the children of Braintree at the Sons of Italy, 161 King Hill Road, starting at 6:30pm. Admission is a new unwrapped toy or gift cards to local stores. For more information contact Sean Powers at 781-727-9408. 

On Friday, December 8th the Braintree Recreation Department will be hosting a Free Winter Movie Night beginning at 7pm at Braintree Town Hall in Cahill Auditorium. The movie will be The Polar Express. Candy, drinks, hot chocolate, and snacks will be available for purchase.

The Braintree Choral Society is inviting all to celebrate its 100th birthday. On Sunday, December 10th 100 years of choral concerts in the Braintree area will continue at 3 pm at the former South Middle School auditorium, 232 Peach Street, Braintree. The program includes a Gloria by contemporary composer Kevin Memley and other songs of the season. A few surprise dignitaries will be present, and a small reception will follow the concert. Tickets are $20 and available online or cash at the door.

The Braintree Recreation Department Ski and Snowboard program will begin on January 2nd. Signups for the program will begin on Tuesday December 5th at 5pm. The 5-week program is for ages 8-15 and will be hosted at Blue Hills Ski Area.  If you have any questions, please contact the Recreation Department at 781-794-9000.
