The Braintree Fire Department continues to receive calls and respond to ongoing fires within the burn area in East Braintree around Skyline Drive and Ross School. The Department has also been responding to people with unauthorized outdoor fires in various parts of Town. Please be aware that Mayor Joyce in conjunction with the Braintree Fire Department and State Fire Marshal have placed a fire ban that continues until at least November 15. No outdoor fires or outdoor cooking of any type is permitted as especially dangerous wildfire conditions exist. Acting Fire Chief Viola has also ordered overnight roaming fire watch patrols as added protection for residents during this unprecedented situation. For emergency concerns, please dial 911.
