A snow emergency will be in effect starting at 12 AM on Saturday morning, March 2, and lasting until 6 PM on Saturday evening. During this period there will be no on-street parking allowed on any public road. The Police have been authorized to tow any vehicle deemed to be an obstruction to snow removal.
While we can expect snowfall anywhere from 6 to 12 inches, the timing of this storm on Saturday will be strongest in the early morning continuing into the late afternoon. With this in mind, there will be closings and cancellations throughout the town. The Farmers Market has been rescheduled for next Saturday, March 9th. The Library and the Recycling Center will be closed. Finally, all Braintree Youth Basketball games have been canceled.
I am asking that all residents refrain from any non-essential driving during tomorrow’s storm in order for DPW crews to quickly and completely clear our roads.
If you have any questions or concerns during the storm please do not hesitate to call our DPW at 781-794-8950 or report your concern www.braintreema.gov/connect
