As part of Mayor Sullivan’s ongoing “100 Roads Project”, The Braintree DPW will be treating your street on Monday, September 9. This phase of the project is to put down the final course of pavement on the street. The pavement will be swept early Monday morning followed by the paving at about 7:00 a.m. Once the roadway paving is completed our sidewalk contractor can come in to finish-pave the sidewalk and driveway aprons when the schedule allows. Finally, striping will be applied. The work is weather dependent and may need to be delayed until the weather cooperates. Please Do Not Park on the street during working hours until it is paved, compacted and cooled.
The paving contractor, T. L. Edwards, Inc. will be working between the hours of 7AM and 4PM. There may be short disruptions and delays to vehicular access during the paving operation. Once your street is paved and compacted the surface can be driven on within a half hour or so.
Please make arrangements to have all parked vehicles off the street before 5 AM. “No parking” is only in effect until your street is paved, compacted and cooled.
Any vehicle parked on the street during construction will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Please be aware, this project is completed in phases by separate contractors. When you do not see a contractor working in your neighborhood they are working on other streets in Braintree.
Again we ask for your patience and understanding.
