As anticipated, we have been experiencing a rainstorm that began last night and continues today. The expectation is that this rain will turn to snow late tonight and continue throughout tomorrow morning — with the majority of the snowfall occurring from 4 AM to 10 AM. As a result of the predicted snowstorm, Mayor Sullivan has declared a snow emergency:
-A snow emergency will be in effect starting at 4 AM tomorrow morning and lasting until 4:00 pm tomorrow evening. During this 24 hour period, there will be no on-street parking allowed on any public road. The Police have been authorized to tow any vehicle deemed to be an obstruction to snow removal.
- School has been canceled for tomorrow.
- Trash and recycling pick-up will proceed as scheduled
- All Town Buildings and Offices will have a 2-hour delayed opening
Mayor Sullivan is asking that all residents refrain from any non-essential driving during tomorrow’s storm in order for DPW crews to quickly and completely clear our roads.
Should you have any questions or concerns during tomorrow’s storm please don’t hesitate to call our Highway Department at 781-794-8950. Mayor’s Office at Town Hall will be staffed throughout tomorrow’s storm and can be reached at 781-794-8100.
