Mayor Charles C. Kokoros is pleased to share information about a grant opportunity for the Braintree Business Community. Earlier today Governor Charlie Baker announced that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has made $50.8 million in grants available to support small businesses, microenterprises, and their employees and families across the Commonwealth.
The Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation will be administering the funds in order to provide financial relief for the economic hardships that small businesses have been experiencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant funding will be divided into two programs: small businesses with 5 or fewer employees and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees.
The application process began today, October 22, 2020 at 12:00 pm and will close on November 12, 2020 at 12:00 pm. Click here for more information about eligibility requirements and how to apply for the small business grant.
