The Town of Braintree and the Braintree Public Schools (PTOs) are partnered with Bay State
Textiles offering a solution to the challenge of what to do with unwanted textiles. What makes
this program even more appealing is that it generates revenue for the Town. Over $13,000
has been generated in its first two years in Braintree.
This is a feel-good program. It feels good to clean out the closets of unused clothing,
accessories, footwear, and linens; it feels good to support the Braintree community; and it feels
good to positively impact the environment by donating your items. In addition, it helps to keep
textiles out of the waste stream.
Spring cleaning season is here and as you embark on your closet and other home clean-outs,
please keep this easy to use service in mind.
Bay State Textiles collection boxes are conveniently located outside all Braintree Public
Schools and at the Braintree Transfer Station.
