In anticipation of the hot and humid weather today, August 12th and tomorrow, August 13th the following town buildings have been designated as “cooling centers” — the Braintree Town Hall Cahill Auditorium and the Braintree Department of Elder Affairs. Temperatures are expected to reach into the 90s and Mayor Kokoros invites any resident in need to utilize our town buildings as a shelter from the heat and humidity.
The Braintree Town Hall and Elder Affairs building will be open as cooling centers today from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and tomorrow from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
