[ARCHIVED] Trash and Recycling Information for Residents

In partnership with the Braintree Rotary the Trash and Recycling Department will be holding  Electronic Waste Day on April 9th and a Household Hazardous Waste Only Day on April 30th. Also, the compost site will open for the season on Friday, April 1st.

Compost Site

The compost site will resume its normal operating schedule on Friday, April 1st. The compost site will be open on Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday April 3rd. The compost site is closed on Monday's and Tuesday's. Operating hours for the compost site are Wednesday to Sunday from 7:15 am to 2:45 pm.

Spring Yard Waste Collection 2022

The Spring Yard Waste Collection will begin the week of April 18th and will continue through the week of May 23rd. Curbside yard waste will be collected on your regular trash day. Please have your yard waste on the curb prior to 7:00 am on your collection day. 

Place leaves, grass clippings and twigs (less than 1") into brown paper leaf bags or open barrels (no lids please). Plastic bags will be rejected curbside but can be emptied out at 225 Plain St at the compost site. Branches and shrubs can also be dropped off at the compost site but no root balls. A trash sticker is required to access the site. For more information please call 781-794-8955.
