Events Finalized For This Weekend’s Braintree Day Celebration

Weekend Celebrations begin Saturday with the Stars and Stripes Parade, Food Truck Festival, Games, Live Music and Fireworks.

Braintree – The Braintree July 4th Celebration Committee with Mayor Joe Sullivan is pleased to announce the following information on the town’s annual Braintree Day: July 4th Celebration.

Saturday June 30, 2018

The Stars and Stripes Parade will begin at 11:45 AM at the Registry of Motor Vehicle’s parking lot located at 14 Plain St and will head north on Hancock St and continue north on Washington St through South Braintree square and will end at the Hollis School.

This year’s parade Grand Marshall is Bob Beach, who is retiring after nearly thirty years of service as the Golf Pro at Braintree Municipal Golf Course.  The Committee is honored to recognize Bob for his years of dedication in helping hundreds of people gain access and learn the game of Golf in Braintree and throughout the greater Boston area.  Bob assisted many veterans and disabled players throughout his career and the committee could not think of a more deserving person to be its Grand Marshall.

A Food Truck Festival featuring more than two dozen diverse food trucks from across New England will begin at 2 p.m. at Braintree High School. Trucks will offer a variety of menu choices and price levels, designed to meet every family’s budget.  For a complete list of food trucks log onto www.braintrees4th.org.

“This years Braintree Day with the parade, food trucks, music and fireworks will once again promise to create a fantastic family atmosphere throughout the day” said Sullivan. He also thanked the many sponsors who have partnered with the town to make the day a success.
