Call Capitol Waste Services at 855-533-3400 at least one week in advance.  You will be scheduled for collection at that time.  

Two pieces are allowed out for collection per week.  Call Capitol Waste at 855-533-3400 to schedule pickup.

Only if cut into 3 ft. lengths and bundled/tied...Up to 3 bundles (weighing less than 50 lbs.) weekly allowed.  NO WOOD IS ALLOWED IN CARTS.  Pallets are not collected curbside or at the Recycle Center Dropoff.

Only if in securely fastened paper bags and dropped off at the Recycling Center at 257 Ivory Street (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 7:15am-2:45pm  & Sat 7:15-noon)

Take TVs/Electronics to Best Buy or McConnell Enterprises, both in Braintree.

Compost Bin Purchases – Available to Braintree Residents Only 

Compost bins can be purchased at Treasurer/Collector’s Office, 1 JFK Memorial Drive or at Water/Sewer Office at 85 Quincy Ave, Braintree, MA 02184.  They will process your request and the Compost Bin will be delivered to your residence.  The Compost Bins will cost $60.

Construction & Demolition Drop-Off

(Call for cost/load...appointments may be required)

Construction and Demolition bulky waste, is not picked up curbside and not accepted at the Residential drop-off center. Construction and Demolition (C&D) includes: windows, doors, flooring, roof materials, fencing, pallets, toilets, etc. - ANY NON-Household trash item per new MA Dept. of Environmental Protection Regulations.    Construction and Demolition bulky waste including pressure treated wood, may be brought to:

• Usable building materials, kitchen and bath fixtures, flooring, windows, doors, lighting, etc., may also be donated to the Boston Building Materials Resource Center in Roxbury (pickup available for a fee), or to Habitat for Humanity ReStores in West Roxbury, Plymouth and other Massachusetts locations. • As an alternative to renting a dumpster, Waste Management sells "the Bagster" at most local hardware or home improvement stores, for more information view the Waste Management Bagster website. They hold 3 cubic yards of material. Call them for a pickup when it is full.
