1. What are the dates for 2022 elections?

For 2022, there are two scheduled election: 

September 6, 2022 - State Primary Election

Scheduled for Tuesday, September 6th - Polls are open from 7:00am until 8:00pm.

November 8, 2022 - State Election 

Scheduled for Tuesday, November 8th - Polls are open from 7:00am until 8:00pm.

2. When is the last day I can register to vote in the next election?

The last day to register to vote for 2022 elections are:

September 6, 2022 - State Primary Election 

Voter Registration Deadline: August 17, 2022  - 8:00pm

November 8, 2022 - State General Election

Voter Registration Deadline: October 19, 2022 - 8:00pm

4. When is the deadline for applying for an absentee ballot?

The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot for the two elections to be held in 2022 are: 

                                                        by mail                               in-person

State Primary Election:           Sep 1st - 5:00pm                   Sep 2nd - Noon (Note: Town Hall Closed for Labor Day - Sep 3rd - Sep 5th)

State General Election:           Nov 3rd - 5:00pm                   Nov 7th - Noon

5. How to Apply For an Absentee Ballot?

Beginning January 3, 2022 you can begin to apply for an absentee ballot.  

Visit the town clerk’s office to complete an application.

6. Which Elected Offices will appear on the next Election Day Ballots?

September 2022 - State Primary Election

On Ballot: Representative in Congress, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, State Auditor, Governor's Council, State Senator, State Representative, District Attorney, Sheriff, County Commissioner (only in certain counties).

November 8, 2022 - State General Election

On Ballot: Representative in Congress, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, State Auditor, Governor's Council, State Senator, State Representative, District Attorney, Sheriff, County Commissioner (only in certain counties), Statewide ballot questions.*

*Ballots in some counties and communities may have additional local offices and questions.
