The Braintree Fire Department is proud to announce our first annual “Junior Fire Academy”, coming this July.
The Junior Fire Academy will offer an opportunity for Braintree residents currently in 7th Grade that will be going into 8th grade in September to see first-hand what it takes to be a Braintree Firefighter!
The Academy will be held at Braintree Town Hall from July 15-19 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The cost will be $50.
This incredible opportunity will consist of interactive sessions of “hands-on” exercises with tools and equipment used by the fire department, along with demonstrations and a field trip to the Massachusetts Fire Academy in Stow!
Students should have an interest in the fire service and be willing to participate in morning physical fitness exercises and evolutions of the training academy. At this time, we are limited to 24 students. In the event that we receive more than 24 applications, a lottery will be used to determine additional participants.

Applications are due June 6th 2019 by 6:00 PM and can be dropped off at the Braintree Fire Department Headquarters at 1 Union Place. There will be a mailbox in the lobby. All recruits that drop of an application will be notified by June 12th. If you have any questions please contact by email:
