CPA Funding for Braintree Housing Authority (BHA)

The Braintree Housing Authority (BHA) was organized on July 30, 1948, with the mission of promoting adequate and affordable housing in a living environment free from discrimination. The BHA owns and maintains two residential complexes for seniors and disabled residents of Braintree, three single-family and two two-family homes. The McRae Development, also known as Heritage Lane, is located off Hayward Street in East Braintree and the Crispin Elderly Development is on Roosevelt Street in Braintree Highlands. Community Preservation funds have been used to improve handicapped accessibility and security at both developments.
