Board of Health
The mission of the Board of Health is to assist the Health Division to protect, promote and sustain the health, well being and quality of life for residents, the community and the environment through health assessment, education and prevention.

Braintree Contributory Retirement System Board
Established in 1936 the Braintree Contributory Retirement System (BCRS) currently has over 700 active members, and in excess of 500 retirees.

Braintree Historical Commission (BHC)
The Braintree Historical Commission (BHC) is established in accordance with provisions of Chapter 40; Section 8D of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with all the powers and duties of a Historic District Commission in accordance with Chapter 40C of the General Laws of the Commonwealth.

Commission on Disabilities
The Commissions on Disability were established by vote of Town Meeting or City or Town Councils to promote the inclusion and integration of persons with disabilities in the activities, services and employment opportunities in the community.

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) is a seven member volunteer committee that is responsible for oversight of the Town’s Community Preservation Act (CPA) program.

The Conservation Commission focuses on protection of resource areas such as wetlands and vernal pools, rivers and streams, and the wildlife that inhabits these areas.

DPW Advisory Board
The DPW Advisory Board hears all appeals on water, sewer, and trash bills; advises the Mayor on water, sewer, and trash rates; reviews the operations of the DPW as requested by the Mayor; and makes recommendations to the Mayor on the policies and procedures of the DPW.
