A walking trail (as shown on the Trail Site Plan below) along the restored Monatiquot River at the Armstrong Dam site on Plain Street is under construction. This trail is part of the overall Monatiquot River Restoration Project which also includes dam removal, river restoration, migratory fish passage and a bridge. The trail creates public access to a scenic rock falls area and a viewing platform for the annual river herring migration. The one-third mile trail will be fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
