The Town of Braintree has one active and three historical cemeteries in its care.
- The Plain Street Cemetery at 225 Plain Street (active)
- The Elm Street Cemetery on Elm Street across from the First Congregational Church at 12 Elm Street
- The Pond Street Cemetery adjacent to 74 Pond Street
- The Dyer Hill Cemetery at 200 Jefferson Street
Town Cemeteries are maintained by staff from the Braintree DPW ground’s division who work with families and funeral directors to ensure that planning, burial services, and post burial care are handled with the utmost respect and attention to the wishes of the bereaved.
